When my husband was asked to interview for a job with the Marshall-Jackson Mental Health Center more than 40 years ago I was…uncertain. I think I envisioned an area flat and dreary. What a wonderful surprise north Alabama was!
So we raised our children here and they’re still close by. My dear husband, however, suffered a crippling illness when he was just 55 years old, and that’s when I found real estate. I needed a career where I had flexible hours, the opportunity to meet new challenges, and the potential to grow a rewarding business.
And here I still am, 22 years later. Our company name has changed but I’m still in the same spot with many of the same supportive coworkers. Real estate has been everything I hoped for and then some.
